Soy Sauce and Lemon Baked Salmon

Tender, flaky salmon baked in a bright lemon and savory soy sauce marinade. This easy recipe comes together with just a few simple ingredients and makes a flavorful weeknight meal. Serve it with rice, steamed vegetables, or your favorite sides for a nourishing family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb wild-caught king salmon
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Steps

  1. Make the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon skin-side down in the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Bake: Heat the oven to 375°F. Transfer the salmon to a Pyrex or baking dish and bake for about 15 minutes, until cooked through.

Notes

King salmon is especially rich in omega-3s, which support both brain and gut health. The soy sauce provides plenty of salt, so avoid adding extra seasoning. Serve over rice or alongside steamed greens to soak up the flavorful juices.
